I've been here.. In 2002.. Crap ! it's really been so long. Himachal is such a heaven for campers. We stayed 10 days up the mountains , living in tents.
Himachal is pure unassuming yet mesmerising beauty... i have havent camped out there, but been there twice on budget travel trips with pals, 2002 and 2008, and loved it... always ready for another one...
Haven't been to the Beas River since 1998. Had a short trek (10 days) to Beas Kund via trek - unforgettable moments - thanks to Delhi Mountaineering Association!
wow... u both look like u guys had a blast camping and trekking in the mountains.. man ! looks like i have missed something ! maybe next time :)
Abhishek, Im sure Manali has changed a lot since u r noticing it after about a decade... i went there just after 6 years and it seemed a whole new city to me :)
It trekking the Beas river was a wonderful experience!
I remember, we were staying in tents in the foothills 2-3 kms from the Glacier and in the night a 150 feet piece of it became disloged and came just within 50 mts of our campsite!
Thank God it stopped where it did, otherwise i wouldn't be writing this! ;-)
