The TRI Continental Film Festival - 2007, presenting the finest Human Rights Cinema from the global South returns to Mumbai this February!

Catch 23 award-winning and critically acclaimed films from 2nd - 4th February 07 at the Little Theatre, NCPA, Nariman Point. Rahul Bose will inaugurate the Festival on February 2 at 6.30 PM at the same location.

Entry free and on first-come-first-served basis!

of the hundreds and thousands of new year resolutions taken every year, i have a feeling "no smoking this year" would feature in the top 10...

how many of us have ever had this new year resolution... who kept it and who didnt, whos still smokin, whos trying to quit, whos given up on quitting...

would love to hear your stories... heres mine...

i started smoking 4 years ago and am a moderate smoker, and honestly i havent considered giving it up seriously yet, though i do face the occasional pangs of fear of various things that it is associated with... so i still haven't made a new year resolution...

this is an old picture which i had clicked using my camera phone, a memory of the days that I did not have a digicam and was on a major clicking spree... during those days the small, inconspicious and handy cameraphone was a boon!

parvati is a rag picker and often in the evenings i have seen her outside my office... after a whole days work, she earns about Rs 40 -50, depending on the weight of the stuff she has collected... she was done for the day and was just on her way home when i caught her for a little chit chat and before she knew it i had clicked a few shots of her!
